New split 7" with Elway - out now!

Hey! Happy New Year! We live in prolific times! We're so proud to announce another split 7" release, this time with the amazing Elway from the US of A.

Here's what the label says:

"Poor old John Elway still hasn't got his way and Elway the band are here to stay! The kind of music you associate with a sweaty Gainesville house show, an energetic punch of Lawrence Arms influenced melodic "gruff" punk with thoughtful lyrics and a hint of swing for good measure.

The Magnificent are from the North of England and play up straight up punk rock. For those who haven't heard them before, think of the distinctive English Clash sound mixed with modern US influences such as The Bomb or The Methdaones. Talking of The Bomb, you might recognise the second song!

You'll find yourself singing along to each of these songs in no time!

As ever it comes with screen-printed covers, colour vinyl and a free download code."

Order it here from All in Vinyl. It's a limited run (300) so act now!

Thanks big time to David for making this happen, it's been a long road!

Razorcake says...

A review of our new single from the latest copy of Razorcake:

MAGNIFICENT, THE: 1981: 7"
The title track is a very catchy punk anthem not pining for one of punk’s many glorified eras, but rather taking on the sense of disillusion kids born in that time period feel at living in the mess of a world their boomer parents made. The flip’s title, “Six Beers (Slight Return),” threatened a disposable paean to boozing it up, and instead delivered a solid piece with acoustic guitar and a catchy hook. A very welcome surprise from what sounds like a really goddamned good band. – Jimmy Alvarado (Drunken Sailor, drunkensailorrecords.bigcartel.com)

Thanks Jimmy!
